Kisco Senior Living plans $10M expansion of Abbotswood at Irving Park

(Carlsbad, CA) - January 21, 2015
Kisco Senior Living is planning a more than $10 million expansion of its Abbotswood at Irving Park senior living community in Greensboro, with plans to add 22 cottages for independent living and a 40-unit private bed assisted-living facility.
The project will expand the community's number of units to 228 and its land area to just under 20 acres. It will add to other investments by Kisco in the Greensboro area, including its recently announced plans for a 142-acre mixed-use projectlocated at the former Jefferson-Pilot Life Insurance Co. campus near Sedgefield that could include apartments, hotels, and a boutique grocery store.
Kisco is pursuing the expansion of its 166-unit Abbotswood at Irving Park community, as well as the "Pilot at Sedgefield" project, as the economy improves and the housing market continues a recovery.
