Dear Residents, Families and Associates of BridgePoint at Los Altos:
We continue to maintain zero COVID-19 cases at the community. This is especially exciting as we continue to move forward with our reopening plan.
Last month, we welcomed our newest Resident Care Supervisor, Maria Bacatat! With guidance from our Assisted Living Director, Jamie Giles, Maria and Alma will work together to ensure residents’ care needs are met. Maria will oversee care for all first-floor residents while Alma will oversee care for all second-floor residents. Maria is a Licensed Vocational Nurse who has provided exceptional care to people with varying health needs. As a Nurse for Courtyard Care Center, Maria provided education on wellness and disease prevention while providing exceptional care to her patients. Her experience with medication and vaccine administration, wound care, monitoring vitals, activities of daily living, and patient-centered care makes her an excellent addition to the care team. When she is not caring for our residents, Maria spends most of her time at home with her family. Welcome to the team, Maria!
Starting tomorrow, we will transition from pooled testing to individual saliva testing for all residents. We will continue to test residents and associates once per week. Below is our updated testing schedule.
SUNDAYS
1ST floor residents
TUESDAYS
2nd floor residents
As a reminder, guests may now visit their loved ones inside their apartments. Fully Vaccinated guests (those who are 14 days post the 2nd dose of the COVID19 vaccine) are not required to complete an individual COVID19 test prior to their visit. You are required to show your vaccination card to enter the community for every apartment visit. As our team changes through the day and week, please be mindful of this requirement. Non-vaccinated visitors may also take advantage of apartment visits by completing an individual COVID19 saliva test. Barring any unexpected shipping delays due to inclement weather or surges of COVID19, our lab typically has a 24 hour to 48-hour turnaround. As part of our contact tracing plan, all visits to the community must be made at least 24 hours in advance by calling the front desk. We are limiting the number of visitors per day to the community to support social distancing.
If guests would like to join their loved ones for a meal, they are more than welcome to make a reservation for our Private Dining Room or Bistro. Guests must show their vaccination card or take the individual COVID19 test. There is a maximum of 3 guests per reservation. All reservations must be made at least 24 hours in advance. Our main dining room will remain a space for residents only due to high demand and social distancing requirements set by the County. It’s lovely to see so many familiar faces back in the community!
Tomorrow, we’ll be celebrating Easter with a special Lunch Menu featuring an omelet station, glazed ham and biscuits, pan roasted chicken with honey, thyme, and au jus, and cinnamon roll French toast just to name a few. Look out for a special visitor who may be hopping around the community to say hello!
Looking forward, we’re excited to welcome back musical performer Jacqi Bowe on April 6th! Jacqi has been a favorite among residents for the past few years and she can’t wait to reunite with old friends and make new ones! We are working to schedule a variety of live entertainment for all to enjoy.
We will continue to focus on innovative, safe, and secure ways to provide an engaging lifestyle while actively monitoring the pandemic and easing restrictions as supported by federal, local, and state guidelines. If you have questions, comments, or concerns please do not hesitate to reach out.
Please enjoy pictures from our associate Easter egg hunt! It was wonderful for us to take a break from our busy schedules for some fun in the sun.
Sincerely,
Maria Quintero
Executive Director
