Dear Residents, Families & Associates of BridgePoint at Los Altos:
As many of you already know, Santa Clara County is seeing a rise in positive cases. As of today, the county is at a 2.5% positivity rate. While our community continues to employ its weekly pooled saliva testing with negative results, our greater community is seeing a shift. Santa Clara County Health Department today announced that the County’s dramatically increasing case counts make clear that the County will be moved to the State’s Red Tier next Tuesday November 17th.
What does this mean for Bridgepoint?
Our enhanced testing cadence, daily health screening, staged indoor reopening plan as it relates to wellness programs, dining, and visitation, and proactive measures has allowed us to normalize our operations and continue to return to a closer to normal life while maintaining a bubble of safety. Our current offerings and reopening plan will continue to move forward. Attached you will find the Bridgepoint Roadmap outlining our current plan.
This week residents and associates competed in our first ever company-wide Spelling Bee! The competition was stiff, but after an intense two days, we have finally crowned our winning hive…Shirley Hansen and Michelle Benigno will be moving on to virtually compete against our west coast Kisco communities. If they win, they will move on to the finals compete against our east coast communities.
Good luck Shirley and Michelle!
This Veterans Day we partnered with Bridge Hospice to honor our heroes with a special pinning ceremony. This event was just one small way we could show our deepest gratitude to our veterans who served our country. The looks of joy and pride on everyone’s faces was undeniable. Thank you to all who have served and continue to serve.
This Holiday season will be different in many ways, one of which will be our Thanksgiving brunch service. Previous years we were able to serve buffet style. Due to safety reasons, we will not be serving buffet style, but will still provide a traditional Thanksgiving feast. Look out for a separate letter from our Dining Director, Rachelle Bond, for more information.
We will continue to adjust and enhance the lifestyle offerings Bridgepoint is known for. We remain enthusiastic about our next phase but know it is a fluid environment and our lifestyle offerings; containment initiatives and safety restrictions will change from time to time based on the prevalence of COVID-19 in our community and Santa Clara County. As always, we thank you for your confidence and partnership during this exceptional time. If you have any questions, kudos, comments or concerns please let me know. Please enjoy some pictures from this past week!
As always, stay safe, stay healthy.
Sincerely,
Maria Quintero
Executive Director
