Dear Residents, Families, and Associates of Byron Park,
This letter is to update you on the status of our community. Yesterday we shared that we had identified one resident who was COVID19 positive from the January 12th, 2021 testing date. This resident is sheltering in their apartment and is in stable condition.
We have identified two positive pools from yesterday January 19th, 2021. The vendor pool consisting of 21 essential providers is positive for COVID19. These providers have been contacted and requested to come in and test individually. One of our assisted living resident pools consisting of 55 residents is also positive for COVID19. Individual testing has begun, and all residents and families have been notified by phone. All residents in the positive pool are required to quarantine until notified of their negative test result by our team. These residents will have in room opportunities for dining and wellness and reservations for our visitation station is currently suspended for this group. All standard dining, wellness and visitation operations remain open for those not in this group.
We know that upholding the four pillars of safety (masks, health screening, social distancing, and handwashing/sanitation) coupled with frequent testing significantly reduces the risk of spread of COVID-19. With our county positivity rate at 11% and with our increased testing, we may see an increase in positive results, however, this information will greatly aid our fight against COVID-19 which remains prevalent around us. If you would like to discuss this further, please do not hesitate to reach out. Thank you for your continued support and partnership.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Pastora
Executive Director
