Dear Residents, Families, and Associates of Byron Park,
Thank you so much for your valuable feedback and participation in our annual resident survey! A special congratulations to our six raffle winners, prizes included rent credits, an onsite spa package, tablets and a Ruth Bancroft garden & nursery outdoor excursion with a custom picnic basket lunch created by Dining Services Director, Bill Capps. The results of the survey will be delivered in person at our March Town Hall meeting as well as published via our Friday updates in email and a hard copy delivered directly to resident’s apartments.
We are continuing to move forward in our reopening plan, and we have a few exciting dates to share with you that alter our previous policies on community testing, community visits and dining operations.
As of today, Contra Costa Counties positivity rate is 4.1% and continues to steadily decline. As a community we continue to maintain a 90+ % vaccine acceptance rate among associates and residents. We will continue to host monthly COVID19 vaccine clinics for new residents, associates, and essential providers. Our 4th clinic is scheduled for March 12th, 2021. Due to our high vaccination rate, we will be moving to once a week community wide Covid19 testing via individual saliva samples for residents, associates, and essential providers.
Effective March 1st, we are happy to welcome loved ones back to resident apartments. Fully Vaccinated (those who are 14 days post the 2nd dose of the COVID19 vaccine) are not required to complete an individual COVID19 test prior to their visit. While we are evaluating a long-term solution for visitor vaccine status, in the interim you are required to show your vaccination card to enter the community for every apartment visit. As our team changes through the day and week please be mindful of this requirement. Non-vaccinated visitors are required to complete an individual COVID19 saliva test. Once the results are back from the lab you have 24 hours to visit your loved one’s apartment. Barring any unexpected shipping delays due to inclement weather or surges of COVID19, our lab typically has a 24 hour to 48-hour turnaround. Apartment visits are prohibited without test results so please be mindful of timing when booking your visit. With safety and confidence in mind, CDC recommended measures of proper mask usage and social distancing is still required when you are visiting Byron Park. Reservations must be made in advance as we will have a community cap of 20 visitors in the community per day.
On Sunday March 7th, 2021 breakfast service returns. With extended hours and full service available, automatic daily room service will end. We will resume our traditional model for room service effective March 7th, 2021. Orders can be placed by calling the main dining room at 925-937-7143. As a reminder to-go service is complimentary and can be picked up at the podium in the main dining room and apartment delivery charges are $8 per delivery.
On Sunday March 21st, 2021 we are excited to offer outdoor dining opportunities for visitors. We look forward to having friends and family members dine with us again! Visitors will need to follow the same protocol of reservation and testing as apartment visits noted above. Reservations are on a first come first serve basis and are limited to 10 visitor per day. We are over the moon at the opportunity to have you dine and imbibe with us again, we have missed you! Our main dining room will remain a space for residents only due to high demand and social distancing requirements set by the County. We are in the process of redesigning the layout of our main dining room and will be making changes in the next week.
We will continue to focus on innovative, safe, and secure ways to provide an engaging lifestyle while actively monitoring the pandemic and easing restrictions as supported by federal, local, and state guidelines. If you have questions, comments, or concerns please do not hesitate to reach out.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Pastora, Executive Director
