Dear Residents, Families, and Associates of Byron Park,
It has been delightful to see so many visitors and guests enjoying Byron Park, we are thrilled to continue to move forward in our reopening plan and have attached an updated roadmap outlining these changes. This letter will also provide a COVID-19 status update.
During our routine testing we have identified one asymptomatic associate who is positive for COVID19. At this time, the origin of exposure is not known. The associate is stable and will self-isolated at home and will not return to the community until cleared by local health authorities. As a reminder, part of our response to this case includes a full review and notification to any individuals who may have had exposure and close monitoring to follow. Any parties that meet the criteria of exposure were notified prior to you receiving this letter. Based on our current protocols, with associates wearing protective equipment (PPE) following CDC guidelines and participating in COVID19 testing we are confident of minimal exposure. In accordance with patient privacy laws, additional details about the associate, vaccine status and updates on their condition will be provided only by healthcare authorities, if appropriate.
Currently, we have no other known cases and will continue weekly testing of all residents and associates to identify any new cases if any promptly. All associates are required to test no later then Sunday May 29th, 2021. All residents will be tested in their apartment tomorrow Friday May 28th, 2021.
Good news, as of today, Contra Costa Counties positivity rate is at 1.5% and continues to steadily decline. High resident and associate vaccination rates and the protection this offers our residents drives our ability to reopen lifestyle offerings safely. As an organization we understand how this global pandemic has impacted us all and with this in mind we have made the decision to require Covid19 vaccinations for all associates. Byron Park is honored to share our associates are committed to the safety of those we serve and that most of our community is already fully vaccinated.
Byron Park throughout the pandemic has taken a conscious, staged approach to reopening and will continue to do so with the health and well-being of our residents and associates as top of mind. Many of you have inquired about current mask usage protocols, in alignment with the current state and local guidance masks continue to be required.
We will continue to focus on innovative, safe, and secure ways to provide an engaging lifestyle while actively monitoring the pandemic. If you have questions, comments, kudos or concerns please do not hesitate to reach out.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Pastora
