Dear Residents, Families, and Associates of Byron Park,
We had a light and fun week celebrating our Kisco heroes and enjoying our second week of dining and imbibing together in our dining room and courtyard. Our Instagram and Facebook highlight some of our favorite moments- we encourage you to subscribe, like and share!

We have successfully completed our 3rd negative week of “pooled” saliva testing for all residents, associates, and providers. As a reminder our non-invasive PCR testing called “pooled” testing for all residents, associates, and providers was implemented at the end of September. This enhanced testing cadence and proactive measures allows us to normalize our operations and returns us to a closer to normal life while maintaining a bubble of safety. This ongoing surveillance testing also eliminates the need for a quarantine period when a resident leaves the community and provides a high level of confidence in our staged indoor reopening plan as it relates to wellness programs, dining, and visitation. For more information about testing see the latest article in Senior Housing News by clicking here: Pooled Saliva Testing Article
As of today, Contra Costa County’s positivity rate continues to trend down and is at a record low of 2.4%. Enhanced testing and a firm commitment to our 4 pillars of safety which are – washing your hands frequently, complete our daily health screening and report when you are not feeling well, wear a mask for the entire duration you are in any common area or with other people and stay six feet physically distant will be essential in maintaining our new lifestyle.
We will continue to adjust and enhance the lifestyle offerings Byron Park is known for. We remain enthusiastic about our next phase but know it is a fluid environment and our lifestyle offerings; containment initiatives and safety restrictions will change from time to time based on the prevalence of COVID-19 in our community and Contra Costa County. As always, we thank you for your confidence and partnership during this exceptional time. If you have any questions, kudos, comments or concerns please let me know.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Pastora
Executive Director
