Dear Residents, Families, and Associates of Byron Park,
As of today, Contra Costa County’s positivity rate is at of 2.2%. While our community continues to employ its weekly pooled saliva testing with negative results and positive opening reviews, our greater community is seeing a shift. Public Health shared “Contra Costa County entered the orange tier of California’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy on Oct. 27, but the average daily number of new cases in the county has grown substantially higher. If the trend continues, the county is at risk of moving back into the more-restrictive red tier as soon as next week. In response, Contra Costa County has amended its health orders to rein in some of the riskier indoor activities permitted under the orange tier.” The selected high-risk activities that have been modified effective November 4th are as follows:
- Outdoor bars: prohibited (except when alcohol is served only with dine-in meals)
- Indoor dining: maximum of 25% occupancy or 100 people, whichever is fewer
- Indoor movie theaters: maximum 25% of occupancy or 100 people, whichever is fewer
- Places of worship and cultural ceremonies: indoors maximum 25% occupancy or 100 people, whichever is fewer
- Cardrooms and satellite wagering sites: outdoors only
- Collegiate and professional sporting events: spectators limited to 25 people (maximum of three households
Many of you have asked what does this mean for Byron Park?
Our enhanced testing cadence, daily health screening, staged indoor reopening plan as it relates to wellness programs, dining, and visitation, and proactive measures has allowed us to normalize our operations and continue to return to a closer to normal life while maintaining a bubble of safety. Our current offerings and reopening plan will continue to move forward. Dinner service will begin on Monday November 16th, 2020 and we are targeting breakfast service in December.
We will continue to adjust and enhance the lifestyle offerings Byron Park is known for. We remain enthusiastic about our next phase but know it is a fluid environment and our lifestyle offerings; containment initiatives and safety restrictions will change from time to time based on the prevalence of COVID-19 in our community and Contra Costa County. As always, we thank you for your confidence and partnership during this exceptional time. If you have any questions, kudos, comments or concerns please let me know.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Pastora
Executive Director
