Kisco COVID-19 Vaccine Update
February 10, 2021 | At Kisco Senior Living, our top priority is and will always be the health and well-being of residents and associates. Since the beginning of the pandemic, Kisco has gone above and beyond to implement protocols that exceed what is required to minimize the spread of COVID-19 and maximize containment. We have conducted more than 120,000 tests using pooled saliva PCR testing on a twice weekly basis across all our communities, which has enabled us to quickly identify positive cases and reduce the spread of the virus.
Kisco COVID-19 Vaccine Statement
January 4, 2021 | Over the past nine months, close to 350,000 Americans have lost their lives due to COVID-19. Less than 1% of the US population is over 80 years of age, yet this segment represents over 40% of those who have been killed by this deadly disease. At Kisco our top priority from the beginning of the pandemic has been to keep residents and associates as safe as possible, and we are indebted to our community teams who have worked tirelessly to achieve this objective. Our communities have conducted over 50,000 Covid tests and we continue to lead the industry in efforts to minimize those affected by this horrible disease.
COVID-19 Testing Strategy
October 7, 2020 | Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Kisco Senior Living has kept the safety of its residents and associates its top priority. Now the senior living company is taking it one step further with an innovative approach to testing, similar to the method taken by professional sports teams. Using pooled saliva PCR testing, Kisco Senior Living is aiming to create a “safety bubble,” giving the company the confidence to open up operationally. The saliva PCR test was recently approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and will be given to all residents once a week and all associates twice a week. The company is partnering with SiREM labs for the testing and will be sending approximately 32,000 vials per month from its 20 senior living communities to the laboratory for processing.
