Dear Residents, Families, and Associates of Cypress Court;
This letter is to inform you that we have been notified that one associate from our Environmental Services Department has tested positive for COVID-19. The Department of Health has been notified and consulted. At this time, the origin of exposure is believed to be unrelated to our community. The associate has self-isolated at home and will not return to the community for a minimum of 14 days or until cleared with a negative test. Part of our response to this case includes a full review and notification to any individuals who may have had exposure and close monitoring to follow. Based on this review, we have determined minimal exposure to other associates and no residents impacted at this time. No notification means you have not been exposed to this individual. Our current protocols, with associates wearing protective equipment (PPE) following CDC guidelines greatly reduces potential spread. In accordance with patient privacy laws, additional details about the associate and updates on their condition will be provided only to healthcare authorities. At this time we have no other known cases.
The protocols that we have been implementing together, remain in place. These include restricting non-essential visitors, screening/monitoring each resident and associate for temperature and related symptoms, delivering all meals, modified activities by appointment with masks, and disinfecting of all high-traffic/high-touch areas 24/7. Wearing masks, social-distancing/sheltering-in-apartment, daily health screenings, and heightened sanitation are the “four pillars” of safety we will continue to strictly adhere to throughout this pandemic.
For the safety of all residents, we will continue to require all residents to wear masks when you are out of your apartment. Additionally, a 14 day shelter-in-apartment period will be required for those who need to leave our community for essential services as activities in public present exposure risk affecting everyone.
We are sending our thoughts and prayers to our associate and their family and will continue to provide regular updates on what we can do to protect our residents, associates and greater community to prevent the spread of the virus.
At Cypress Court, our top priority is and will always be the health and well-being of our residents and associates. Thank you for your support and partnership through this unprecedented time.
