Dear Residents, Associates, and Family Members of Drake Terrace:
As my second week at Drake Terrace comes to an end, I want to thank all the residents and families who have met with me in person or on the phone to discuss their questions or concerns regarding last weeks letter and Community Covid-19 Guidelines. As you all know our top priorities are to keep all of you safe, healthy and provide socially distant wellness activities.
Our last COVID-19 surveillance testing was completed on Saturday 8/29. To date we have not received any positive results! We still have 70 cases pending from our previous lab partner and this week we have partnered with a new lab that is confident that they will provide faster test results. The purpose of surveillance testing is to help us quickly identify, respond to and contain any new cases of COVID-19. As a reminder, we will complete weekly testing of all associates and residents until we are clear two weeks in a row at which point we will return to testing 25% of our team and residents weekly.
I also wanted to share that we are aware of the heatwave warning and we want to assure you our team of wonderful associates are ready for any power outages.
I would like to remind you all that during the last power outage we provided all Drake Terrace Residents with a lantern, a flash light and water. Additionally, like the previous power outage I will send an e-mail notice informing you of the power outage, when we expect power to resume and another notice when power is back on.
I hope you all have a great and safe Labor Day Holiday! Thank you for your continued support as we navigate through these unusual circumstances together.
Sincerely,
Ricardo Romero
Executive Director
