Dear Residents and Families of Heritage Greens;
I wanted to let you know that a resident at Heritage Greens has received a presumptive positive test result for Covid-19 in the VerraSpring (Assisted Living) area of the campus. The resident is doing well and has been cleared as recovered and no longer contagious but will remain quarantined in their apartment for a few more days. We have no known cases in the Independent Living or Memory Care areas at this time. As of now, the origin of exposure is not known and in accordance with patient privacy laws, additional details about the patient and updates on their condition will be provided only by healthcare authorities.
The protocols that we have all put into place earlier, remain in place. These include restricting visitors, monitoring each resident and associate for temperature and respiratory symptoms, suspending meal service and activities in Assisted Living, and increased disinfecting of all high-traffic/high-touch areas.
As you know, we have directed all Assisted Living residents to quarantine in their apartments, and any associates who were directly exposed will self-quarantine at home during this time.
We are working with local and state health authorities, as well as following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We are sending our thoughts and prayers to our beloved resident and their family and will continue to provide regular updates to residents, their family members and associates on what they can do to protect themselves and prevent the spread of the virus.
At Heritage Greens, our top priority is and will always be the health and well-being of our residents and for all our associates. We understand that you may have questions and concerns. I will continue to keep you informed with updated information as it becomes available. We appreciate your dedication to our residents, now more than ever we all need to pull together and continue to provide exceptional care to all residents.
Thank you, we appreciate all that you do.
Sincerely,
Jeramy Reid
Executive Director
