Dear Residents, Families and Loved Ones,
The safety of our residents and associates has remained our top priority since the beginning of the Covid-19 crisis. We’ve tried to implement prudent measures to minimize the risk of infection for all and have continued to stay abreast of Federal and State mandates, and our industry-wide best practices.
In mid-May Governor Ige eased some restrictions and transitioned from “Safer at Home” to “Act With Care”. The major changes are the opening of dine-in for restaurants and lifting of the 14-day quarantine for interisland travel.
Precautions
Based on this guidance, we have summarized our phased-in easing of restrictions and continuing precautions for your safety:
✓ In-person visits with residents have re-started in our designated outdoor comfort areas
✓ Dining Room is now OPEN, resident may still have room service with no delivery fee
✓ Salon is now OPEN for hair and nail appointments
✓ Transportation has re-started for essential appointments, a 14-day quarantine is not required upon return to community
✓ Bus excursions have re-started for scenic trips
✓ No visitors to community (inside building) except for “compassionate visits” or essential health care
✓ Temperature checks for all residents, associates and essential persons coming into the community along with a questionnaire about recent travel, contact with persons who have traveled and health condition
✓ Please remain in your apartment when not participating in activities, exercising, checking mail, etc…continue to follow social distancing guidance
✓ All associates (staff) to wear face masks
✓ All residents leaving the apartment to wear face masks
✓ Virtual visits available with family/friends via Zoom, Face-time, Skype, etc.
✓ Deliveries dropped off outside the main entrance and sanitized before being brought into the community
✓ Will do your personal shopping at Foodland, Safeway or CVS with charges billed to your account…no shopping at CostCo, Target, Walmart due to the long wait times
✓ Any resident that leaves the community for non-essential errands will be required to self quarantine in their apartment for a minimum of 14-days upon their return.
What you can do:
✓ Continue to wear FACE MASKS and follow SOCIAL DISTANCING precautions
✓ Keep in the SPIRIT of the precautions by not seeking loopholes to the quarantine and other City & State mandates
✓ Continue your patience and understanding of these high-level precautions
✓ Wash hands for minimum of 20-seconds
✓ Use hand sanitizers
✓ Let us know if you are not feeling well, signs of COVID-19:
– Cough
– Shortness of breath
– Fever
– Loss of sense of smell and taste
– Excessive fatigue
– Muscle or body aches
We have implemented these precautions with resident and associate health and safety first and foremost. These are unprecedented times and life will return to normal. Thank you for understanding and for working with us to keep our residents and associates as safe as possible. As always, please feel free to contact Valerie Rickard or me for any questions.
Sincerely,
Mark T. Tsuda
