Ilima at Leihano Construction Starts in Kapolei, Hawaii

Kisco Senior Living and general contractor Kiewit have started construction on the $30 million three-story Ilima at Leihano senior living community in Kapolei.
The 84-unit assisted-living and memory-care facility is being built within the first 20 acres of an eventual 40-acre community in the City of Kapolei. It was designed by Group 70 International and will be a rental building with no entrance fees.
“The City of Kapolei provides an accessible, centrally-located setting for a community like Ilima at Leihano," Mitch Brown, chief development officer for Kisco Senior Living, said in a statement.
"As a pedestrian-oriented city, roads are safe to cross and important services are within walking distance."
