Dear Residents, Families, and Associates of Park Terrace;
As we know our collective experience with Covid-19 is more like a marathon than a sprint. And in that journey together, we will face ups and downs, good news, and news that will challenge us. Through it all, I remain committed to transparency and in balancing safety of our residents and associates with our residents’ quality of life.
Today I am writing to inform you that an individual who works in our kitchen has tested positive for Covid-19. As with all of our associates, this individual has worn a mask and gloves consistently since we imposed this protocol in March. We have no reason to believe that this individual has had any direct contact with residents, and we have sent any associate with whom may have had prolonged close contact with this individual home to ensure that they are Covid-free. The associate who tested positive will not return until symptoms subside and they are cleared to return to work.
As you know, we had been in the process of adjusting our protocols to allow residents more freedom throughout the community and while I believe we will be able to get back to that discussion soon, for now, we continue with all current protocols until we are clear of this situation and can review the latest County Public Health data.
I will continue to keep everyone updated.
Sincerely,
Geno Koehler
Executive Director
