Sagewood Residents and Family Members:
First, just wanted to say thanks to you all for your cooperation as we navigate through this challenging time with the Covid-19 (Coronavirus Disease). We appreciate your support and understanding. I want to share the practices which are in place at Sagewood. Some are consistent with the previous communication sent last week, some are new. Below are the protocols in place:
· Visitors will now be restricted from Sagewood until further notice. Essential visitors will include families for end-of-life visits.
· No visitors under the age of 18.
· Home Health and Hospice providers will be restricted until further notice unless providing services such as wound care, diabetic or other required injections, catheter care.
· Church services have been cancelled until further notice.
· All marketing and unnecessary vendor visitation is suspended.
· We encourage families not to take their resident out of the community for activities (shopping, entertainment, etc.) unless it is absolutely essential.
· Accommodations are being made to limit large groups during internal programming (activities) and dining. We encourage residents to order in and we will deliver to your apartment.
· For residents who wish to have a meal tray delivered to their apartment, there will be no service charge for the tray delivery.
· Extra supplies, such as paper goods, gloves, masks, gowns and cleaning sanitizing agents are being purchased as they become available.
· Social distancing is being encouraged by both residents and staff.
· A group cleaning following the daily meeting has been initiated with a team approach involving each community department.
· Elevators will be cleaned on a set schedule at least every two hours.
· We continue to receive and follow guidance from the CDC as well as our local health department.
Thanks again for adhering to these protective measures and we hope that these will allow us to protect the health and well-being of the residents who call Sagewood home. One important guideline we have discussed with our team is the importance of social distancing while at work, but also practicing this while outside of work, knowing the resident population here at Sagewood. Another important piece of communication is handwashing. We have in-serviced our team on this and are asking
them to do this often.
Thanks to all of you who have reached out to see what you can do to provide support. The best way to assist us to keep your loved one safe is to refrain from visiting as to avoid the spread of any type of virus or infection. We will continue to provide communication consistently to provide updates on any changes.

Thanks,
