Dear Residents, Families, and Associates of Sagewood:
We continue to monitor the ongoing Coronavirus situation and communicate often with residents, families and associates
pertaining to protocols we are implementing to provide the safest environment for our residents and associates. We
continue to prohibit any non-essential visitors from entering our community, and screening all “Essential” visitors (to
include faith-leaders, family, close friends, and individuals providing direct assistance to residents) for:
• Fever
• Cough/Shortness of Breath
• Recent travel to any areas of widespread infection
All visitors will be required to enter through the main entrance at Sagewood so we can appropriately screen for the above
criteria. Screening will include temperature checks for all visitors including families, friends and professional providers.
We continue to provide transportation to essential medical appointments (but suggest that residents re-evaluate the need
for any non-urgent medical procedures). When in doubt, resident primary care physicians should be consulted.
Exercise programs and certain activities in small groups have resumed with social distancing being observed by residents
and associates. Residents continue to have the option of participating in the exercise programming via recordings on our
local television channel both in the morning and evening.
We are allowing outside visits to occur with 2 family members or less over the age of 18. Residents and visitors are
required to wear masks and maintain social distancing while visiting.
During this pandemic, we have implemented a weekly outdoor concert series each Friday afternoon which has included
talented musicians Shaun Barrowes, Alex Boye, Missy Lynn, and Ryan Shupe. We were recently able to entertain our
residents by taking them on taxi-cab bicycle rides through Daybreak and around the lake.
Our teams will continue to monitor the health of residents and all associates while working hard to provide a healthy
quality of life. We appreciate your support and understanding and hope that you agree that these actions are prudent. As
always, I am available to discuss further or to answer any questions.
Sincerely,
Wade Vest
