For those of you who are new to Sagewood, we have been sending regular updates during COVID with updates pertaining to our operations as well as some details relative to the engagement and wellness of our residents during these challenging times.
One of our associates went in for COVID testing on Tuesday because they were not feeling well. The results of the test came back this morning and were positive. This associate works in our dining room as a dishwasher. The last day they worked was Monday and prior to that was last Friday. We identified the associates who had direct contact for a prolonged period of time and asked them to go in for testing. In total, four associates from the dining team will be tested. We will have them stay at home until their test results are returned.
I spoke with this associate this morning and they’re doing ok. As a team, we’re keeping them in our thoughts and prayers for a quick and healthy recovery.
As part of our ongoing surveillance testing, the care staff underwent testing yesterday. In total, 40 of our associates were tested. We should receive the results of these tests within the next couple days. Every two weeks, we will be testing 25% of our associates.
We were planning on opening our dining room next Wednesday, the 26th. We have decided to push this back to Monday, August 31st. I will send more details to the Sagewood residents next week relative to the re-opening of our dining room and the details of the guidelines which will be in place.
Please let me know if you have any questions. Have a great night!
