Dear Residents, Families, and Associates of The Fountains;
Throughout this entire pandemic experience, I have continued to provide open dialogue with residents, families, and associates and will continue to do so whether the news is good or, as in this case, more “challenging”.
It is with a heavy heart that I share that after nearly four months of diligence, focus, and exceeding CDC guidelines, we have learned that we have our first positive case of Covid-19. An associate in Dining Services has tested positive for Covid-19. This associate has been out of the community since the 16th, and we believe that they had very minimal interaction with other associates or residents while in the community. After a thorough investigation, we believe that this associate has been compliant with all hygiene protocols, mask-wearing, and all sanitation best practices. This associate will remain out of the community until fully recovered (and not until multiple negative Covid tests are completed).
As previously scheduled, all staff will be tested on Thursday, June 25. This will continue every two weeks (as mandated by the State). I will continue with full transparency should anyone test positive as a result of those tests.
We will continue with current operating conditions (as guided by the CDC) and monitor all residents and associates daily.
Thank you for your continued support as we navigate through these unusual circumstances together.
Sincerely,
Sandra Garutti
Executive Director
