Dear Residents & Families of Woodridge Terrace of Irvine;
Through our ongoing Covid testing, we have identified 3 residents and 2 associates that are positive for Covid-19. These residents are recovering and have been isolated. Associates are recovering at home. While identifying the presence of Covid is always unnerving, frequent testing allows us to identify and isolate positive individuals before large outbreaks can materialize. We will continue to keep you informed if this situation changes.
As for leadership, I’m very pleased to inform you that Stephen Pratt will be transferring to Woodbridge as Interim Executive Director effective January 25th. Stephen is currently part of the leadership team at a sister Kisco community (Valencia Terrace). We look forward to Stephen’s arrival and I will schedule a Zoom call for Monday of next week so that we can introduce him “virtually”.
GREAT NEWS!! Today we were notified that our Vaccination clinics are scheduled for Jan 27, Feb 17, and Mar 10 (all scheduled from 10am to 4pm). We will begin to distribute consent forms that will need to be collected prior to the clinic dates! As promised, we are working to establish a family visitation testing program that will support safe, in-community visits. Details on this program will be communicated during next week’s Zoom call.
In addition to the news covered above, I wanted to let you know that our vendor for WiFi services will be onsite this week to continue to get the network as robust as possible. We will continue to work on this until we have adequate coverage in all areas. Additionally, we are working on bringing salon services back to Woodbridge!
Construction on the salon should be complete by the 1st week in February, however, we are checking with State licensing to determine if an exception will be granted to allow us to operate give the Covid conditions in Orange County. More to come on this topic! Thank you for your continued support! We will send around an invite to next week’s Zoom call. If you have any other questions, please don’t hesitate to let me know!
Sincerely,
Ed Ward
Vice President of Operations
