As a follow up to Ashley’s visit to our sister community Heritage Greens last week, she has brought back a few ideas to enhance our current menu selections. Our goal is to realign with Kisco’s standards and focus our attention on the quality and flavor of our entrées and accompaniments. You will notice additional options on our “always available” menu, such as meatloaf, roasted salmon, grilled chicken breasts, and a spinach berry salad along with additional sides. Our featured lunch and dinner entrees will include a main course paired with a chef selected side; however, substitutions will be available upon request.
Our coffee station will be returning to the Water’s Edge Dining Room on Tuesday, March 23rd and will be available from 7:00 am until 7:00 pm daily. Please note a menu change, starting today for the remainder of Lent, a fish entree will be offered on the menu each Friday.
We had hoped to finish working in the Grange this week but still have a few more items to take care of so we can officially open it back up, I apologize for the delay. A gentle reminder for our Independent Living Residents, trash disposal is part of our housekeeping services on your scheduled housekeeping day. Any trash that needs to be disposed of in between should be taken to the trash room and not put in the hallway outside of your apartment door. Also, those residents needing personal laundry service, outside of what is included in your designated service package are expected to pay a $15.00 fee per load based on our Appendix A charges. Please call the Front Desk to coordinate personal laundry service. Availability of service may vary depending on the schedule of the Housekeeping team.
A second Accushield Kiosk for signing in and out has been added in the lobby to help with the traffic flow in preparation for screening our families once we are able to invite them back into the community. You may sign in or out on either Kiosk based on it’s availability.
Last but certainly not least, I have some exciting news to share with regards to our recruiting efforts and new associates starting with us. We have a new Housekeeper who started with us this week and has been completing her training. You will soon meet Stacey who will be assigned to clean apartments on the 3rd Floor. Also, please welcome Jennifer our new server in the Dining Room who has also started her training this week.
On April 19th, Terry Ellison will be joining the Community Leadership Team as our new Assisted Living Director. Terry is a Licensed Practical Nurse as well as a Licensed Assisted Living Administrator who is currently serving as an Executive Director at a local Assisted Living community in Newport News. Terry describes herself as being dedicated, enthusiastic, and adaptable in meeting evolving industry and resident needs. She will be a great addition to our leadership team and our FCI family. We will schedule an opportunity for you all have some time to meet her once she arrives. In the interim please reach out to me or Leroy if we can assist with anything during this time of transition. Renee will be here with us through Wednesday, March 31st.
