Dear Residents, Families, and Associates of BridgePoint at Los Altos:
We have received all results back from the mass COVID test on August 10th. We are pleased to announce all results for residents and associates returned negative. The one positive we received was for an outside third-party agency worker who is at home quarantining. Going forward, we will conduct surveillance testing on 25% of staff and residents weekly. More information to come.
Since Bridgepoint residents and associates tested negative for COVID, we are happy to share that the Santa Clara County Health Department has cleared us for small programs and courtyard visitations. Our Wellness Department will be sending out a program schedule tomorrow to all residents. Programs will begin Monday, August 24th. Please note, to maintain social distancing, space for each program will be limited. Courtyard visits will begin tomorrow, August 22nd. Protocols for courtyard visits are as follows:
- All guests must have a reservation made at least 24 hours in advance
- All guests must check in using our Accushield kiosk at the front desk to complete our COVID screening
- All guests and residents must wear a mask at all times
- A distance of at least 6 feet between guests and resident
- Furniture must not be moved
- Maximum of 3 guests per visit
- Maximum of 1 hour per visit
- No public restrooms available
- No internal or apartment visits
- All guests must check out using our Accushield kiosk at the front desk
We continue to closely monitor the CZU and SCU Lightning Complex fires burning in Santa Cruz/San Mateo and eastern Santa Clara Counties. Santa Clara County Fire Department (SCCFD) has staffed several additional fire engines and will continue to proactively staff for the near future. The CZU Lightning Complex is a dynamic incident, however there are currently no evacuations and no threat to residents in the SCCFD service area (Redwood Estates/Lexington Hills, Los Gatos, Campbell, Monte Sereno, Saratoga, Cupertino, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills).
Although there is currently no threat to residents in SCCFD services areas, everyone should remain aware, informed and ready to evacuate. Register to receive Santa Clara County emergency alerts at alertscc.com.
Due to high temperatures and regional wildfires, air quality in Santa Clara County is currently poor. As we take precautions in light of air quality and fire, we must continue to protect ourselves and our loved ones from COVID-19.
The County of Santa Clara Public Health Department urges those with health conditions who need to stay indoors because of the smoke to shelter at home, where they can be safe from both smoke and COVID-19.
When residents leave their homes, they should continue following all COVID-19 precautions, including wearing face coverings when in public.
The air quality varies across the county, and more information on conditions where you live are available at airnow.gov. County residents should avoid any strenuous outdoor activities until air quality improves and should avoid being outdoors for an extended amount of time.
All staff will receive a mandatory emergency preparedness refresher training on Thursday, August 27th.
