Dear Residents, Families, and Associates of Byron Park,
This letter is to provide additional information about our current COVID-19 cases.
We continue to have no active resident cases. As of today, we have 9 active associate cases. At this time, the origin of exposure is not known but believed to be outside of Byron Park. Thankfully, our team members are stable and will remain at home until cleared by local health authorities. In accordance with patient privacy laws, additional details about the associates including position or department worked, and updates on their condition will be provided only by healthcare authorities, if appropriate.
As a reminder, part of our response to this case includes a full review and notification to any individuals who may have had exposure and close monitoring to follow. Any parties that meet the criteria of exposure were notified prior to you receiving this letter.
The trend in positive COVID19 cases we are seeing in our community is in alignment with the spike in Contra Costa County. An average of 1,547 cases per day were reported in our county which is a 545 percent increase from the average two weeks ago. Our top priority continues to be the health and well-being of our residents and our associates. We encourage residents to maintain their physical and mental health by signing up for social visits from our team, leaving their apartment to go for a walk and participating in our various virtual programming. Wellness kits (art/fitness/brain games) are also available to be delivered to your apartment. While gatherings are on hold, we would like to remind you that the library, gym and other common areas are still available for your use. We simply ask that you maintain social distancing and properly wear your mask.
We understand that you may have questions and concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly. Thank you for your constant support and partnership as we navigate this together.
Warm Regards,
Jennifer Pastora, Executive Director
