Dear Residents, Families, and Associates of Byron Park,
I would like to update you on the status of COVID-19 cases and other community information. As a reminder we had previously identified an outbreak at Byron Park.
As of today, we continue to have 0 active cases or suspected cases of COVID19 in our community. The resumption of outdoor dining, group wellness opportunities and masked and socially distant visitation for residents and their loved ones, fitness center and pool access can occur once we are clear of COVID-19 for 2 consecutive weeks as evidenced by testing. Our approach to loosen restrictions will continue to follow testing and prevalence data. We continue to be focused on balancing our resident’s social-emotional needs and measures to keep our community safe.
We are hoping to receive the remaining pending results with our current lab from the last 2 weeks (11 associate tests and 58 resident tests) by next Tuesday. All associates and both levels of living have completed this week’s testing with our current lab. I am also happy to announce we will be bringing on a secondary lab partner on Monday to assist us in our goal of timely testing and reporting.
Our associates have received your kudos about their care, commitment, and efforts during this time and the energy in the community was palpable. Thank you for your time and sharing your thoughts! In case you missed the link, it is noted below.
Lastly, I wanted to share a well-earned promotion for Ricardo Romero, Resident Relations Director. As you know, Ricardo has been a vital part of our community over the last year. His demonstration of leadership, dedication and enthusiasm has made a tremendous impact at Byron Park. It is for these reasons and many more, I am so excited to announce his recent promotion to Executive Director of Drake Terrace, our sister community located in San Rafael, CA. While we will miss him being a part of our day to day, he will be close by and still on the Kisco team! Ricardo’s last official day with Byron Park is today August 21, 2020. Due to our community’s status we had to postpone his socially distant farewell to Tuesday September 1st,2020 at 1:00pm. Formal invite to follow. Please join me in virtually congratulating him on this new journey at Ricardo.Romero@kiscosl.com.
We will continue to monitor the latest news and guidance and will keep you informed of any additional changes. If you have any questions or concerns, please let me know.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Pastora
Executive Director
