Dear Residents, Associates, and Family Members of Drake Terrace:
I would like to update you on the status of last week’s COVID-19 testing. As of today, we continue to not have any residents or associates test positive. As a reminder we have Kaiser coming on Tuesday October 27, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. to provide flu shots to residents and associates who are Kaiser members.
I also wanted to share that National Weather Service (NWS) is forecasting a potentially dangerous weather event with strong offshore winds expected from Sunday through Tuesday. Much of PG&E’s 43 county service territory, including Marin County, is now in “elevated” status for a potential Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS). NWS has also issued another Fire Weather Watch, which will likely become a Red Flag Warning.
Preliminary information suggests a Marin PSPS will begin b/w 4pm-8pm Sunday with restoration by midnight Tuesday. They do not yet have more specifics currently regarding impacted locations in Marin but anticipate more messaging from PG&E this afternoon or tomorrow morning.
As always, our team is ready for any potential power outage and the main building has a generator on standby. As a reminder, during a previous power outage we provided all Drake Terrace Residents with a lantern, a flashlight and water. Additionally, should we lose power I will send an e-mail notice informing you of the power outage, when we expect power to resume and another notice when power is back on. Next Wednesday the associates will be dressed in their Halloween costumes and they will be doing a costume parade through the halls. We invite all residents to participate by dressing up in your costume and opening your door to cheer them on. Stay tuned for more information from Liza.
We remain focused on the safety, health and happiness of you and your loved ones. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns you may have.
Sincerely,
Ricardo Romero
Executive Director
