Dear Woodland Terrace Associates, Residents and Families,
In previous updates I shared our plans for community-wide testing at Woodland Terrace, to enhance our ability to identify the presence of Covid-19 early, and minimize exposure, especially in asymptomatic cases. Part of that plan involved ramping up our testing should we have a positive case. I am sharing that as of today we now have one positive associate case.
With this positive case, we have initiated mandatory testing for all our associates. We should have that completed by the end of this week. From the results of our exposure tracking, we feel there is some risk of exposure in our Arboretum (Memory Care). Those residents and their families will be contacted immediately, and will be tested first, as a precautionary step, along with our associates. Testing of Arboretum residents will begin as soon as this Wednesday.
Once we start testing, we will also be offering tests to all residents on a limited basis. I will share more details about those plans in a future update. Once we initiate the required community-wide testing today, we will continue every two weeks until we have multiple cycles of 100% negative tests. After we achieve that mark, we will go back to the random two-week testing format. We will continue to be transparent and report out any results of the testing to everyone.
We continue to offer our positive thoughts and prayers that everyone stays healthy and well during this pandemic situation.
Sincerely
Matt Towler, Executive Director
